| We haven't given our security codes to any authentication compagny, which makes our site even more secure and allows us to avoid paying a duty on security. You can surf the website in complete safety. Web browsers indicate that we have efficient security and cipher systems. They can't recognize the encoding, proving actual security. |

| It is easy and free. You benefit from the access to the three superior levels (department + first name(s) + period), and to the advanced search mode (browsing is not individually watched over). We benefit from information about our visitors' towns and countries of residence. This also allows us to know the general tendency about the various search topics. Finally, a link enables us to keep you informed about the association's activity or to pass on information that you would like to share with the largest number. |

There are 5 very simple stages to purchase an item : 1/ Register, if you haven't done it yet (it is free), 2/ You receive a confirmation mail at the address entered for registration (delay may range from one second to two hours depending on your email server), 3/ Choose a purchase option (ex GénéArthur), 4/ Make the payment and go back to the site (click on the small tab at the bottom right side on the "Banque Populaire" website), 5/ You have units of credit available. Then you can undertake researches, furnish your basket, then purchase the selected certificates. |

It is very simple : Simple search : it offers all the variants of the name, on the basis of the first four letters, through all the databases of the site (numerous results are to be sorted out). Advanced search : it offers a multicriterion search. This function enables you to reach : all the persons included in the certificates according to their role, over a specific period or spelling. There are many possible combinations (note that there are few results, don't use variants, be specific). Thematic search : you are explained the theme and sources, then you have access to the aforementioned search modes, solely through the selected database (ex : Sailors). |

| We are pleased to have contributed to the easing of your research. We have set up various search modes(simple ou cross) precisely to reduce the number of answers if necessary. Prospection is essentiel and well-known in the field of genealogy and, as in many other fields, it has a cost. It can lead onto positive or negative results. It confirms or invalidates assumptions, thus allowing to move ahead, but is always at the seeker's expense. |

| I advise you to make a first search on all the possible variants with the first four letters of the last name. It is then essential to use the advanced mode to reconstitute families or be able to between several namesakes. Especially in the case of births, you can find a couple's children by entering the mother's name and selecting "mother" in the "role in the certificate" box. You can do the same for deaths. For marriages, select the bride's role. Be careful, in advanced mode, no spelling variant of name is accepted, so you have to test them all |

| Regarding civil status, the French law imposes the non-disclosure of registers dating back to less than 100 years. Therefore you cannot find your birth certificate on this site and we cannot accept to make public your marriage certificate.
